Frequently Asked Questions
Answered plainly. The way OBrecs answers everything.
What is OBrecs?
OBrecs is a Winnipeg-based bespoke practice serving family and legacy businesses across Manitoba with bespoke web development and workflow automation.
Where is OBrecs located?
OBrecs is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We serve all of Manitoba — including Winnipeg, Brandon, Steinbach, Portage la Prairie, Selkirk, Morden, Winkler, Dauphin, Thompson, and rural-anchored businesses across the province.
What does OBrecs offer?
Two services. One standard. Bespoke Web Development. Workflow Automation. The Foundation Audit is the free entry point — 30 minutes, no obligation, the written summary is yours whether you hire OBrecs or not.
What is bespoke web development?
A custom web presence measured before it is cut, fitted to the customers who already know your name, and owned by you when we are done. No template. No SaaS lock-in. No agency retainer disguised as ownership.
What is workflow automation?
Intake, hand-offs, and reminders automated for the way your business actually runs — not how a SaaS vendor wishes it ran. Built on proven tools (n8n, Make, native cloud integrations, sometimes bespoke code) — whichever fits the job.
What is the Foundation Audit?
A free 30-minute review of your current web presence and workflow surface, with a written summary delivered in plain language. No obligation. The summary is yours whether you hire OBrecs or not.
How much does the Foundation Audit cost?
Nothing. It is free. No obligation. The written summary is yours whether you hire OBrecs or not.
Who is OBrecs for?
Family and legacy businesses across Manitoba — those who have already earned their place, built reputation over years or generations, and want to survive and then flourish in the AI-impacted business environment that is just at its genesis. Typically businesses with less than $10 million in annual revenue.
What businesses are NOT a fit for OBrecs?
OBrecs is not the right fit for businesses looking for the cheapest possible website, businesses wanting to lock customers into the OBrecs ecosystem, or businesses wanting hype-driven AI promises. We are a bespoke craft practice for businesses that value being measured before they are cut.
Why is the practice called Bespoke?
The name is a homage. A Master Tailor and an Expert Seamstress taught us what the cloth means. The work is measured before it is cut, fitted to the one who will wear it, and immaculate on the inside as well as on the outside. Made to Measure. Fitted Pristinely. Yours to Wear.
How do I contact OBrecs?
Email bespoke@obrecs.com. We typically reply within one business day. Conversations begin with the free Foundation Audit — 30 minutes, no obligation.
What technology does OBrecs use?
For web development: WordPress with custom block themes when it fits, custom HTML/CSS when it suits, the right tool for the actual work. For workflow automation: n8n, Make, native cloud integrations, and bespoke code where bespoke is needed. We use AI as part of the toolkit when it earns its place — not as a magic engine.
How does OBrecs use AI in client work?
AI is a tool we use carefully — the way a master uses a sewing machine. We use it for classification, routing, and summarization where it makes the work cleaner. We do not use it to replace the craftsman or the human judgment. When we use AI on your behalf, you will know what we used it for, where the human judgment came in, and what stays human-only.
What is OBrecs’s pricing model?
Foundation Audit is free with no obligation. Build engagements are scoped against what the audit found — we tell you what it costs before you commit. Maintenance retainer is optional and explicit, never bundled or implied.
Does OBrecs serve businesses outside Manitoba?
OBrecs’s focus is Manitoba — family and legacy businesses across the province. The Bespoke standard travels, but the local presence and relational care that make the work right are anchored in Manitoba.
When was OBrecs founded?
OBrecs was founded in 2018.
What languages does OBrecs work in?
English.
What is the ‘Made to Measure. Fitted Pristinely. Yours to Wear.’ phrase?
It is OBrecs’s standing standard, summarising the three beats of the bespoke tradition: the work is measured to fit you, refined to standard, and given to you to wear in the world. The phrase echoes the Pristine Pass discipline that governs how OBrecs verifies every substantive piece of work before it ships.
